World of Warcraft looks like absolute I’M A Lover Not A Fighter Shirts shit even if you have a beast of a gaming PC but it still manages to be financially viable and pump out expansions as the years come and go. Interesting that the top 50 comments are responses for games with weak graphics and great gameplay. Even with the remastered Metro Redux (bundle pack containing both games) the animations are still a bit off, but goddamn those games are the most immersive FPS experience I’ve ever had. Fall guys, Mario brothers, portal, super meat boy, a tale of two brothers, Zelda. There are really great games and graphics have almost nothing to do with it unless the goal is to look pretty.

Aside from praising the story, the atmosphere A Lover Not A Fighter Shirts, and everything else great about the Metro series, the games themselves are just fun. They’re just plain fuckin fun to play and I don’t feel like I can say that for a lot of games. I’d say Star Wars Battlefront II is my example. When that game came out it was the most beautiful visual experience I’ve had in a game. Absolutely unrivaled dogshit gameplay, however. Starbound, Minecraft, RollerCoaster Tycoon, many others. If your game is good and the graphics fit well within the goals your game tries to accomplish, then the graphics independent of other contexts, don’t matter.
