This past Labor Day he brought in his spaghetti but left me a little side with just a bunch of veggies and sauce, and picked up some tofurky sausages. That’s awesome. My coworkers were jerks when I first told them I went vegan back in January. I have to give them credit tho because now when we have luncheons they make sure to have vegan dishes. Had a guy last time who made a cucumber salad dish but made a container for me and left out the cheese and something else he put in the main one. Wasn’t anything huge but the gesture meant a lot to me. I’m always so anxious to trust coworkers on if things are vegan or not.
My office catering always includes vegan options. It’s very nice to have considerate people around. Things have come a long way!!

I’ve had coworkers who were so offended when I’d bring my own lunch on “free lunch” days. I didn’t want to force them to get me vegan food and was totally willing to sit and eat with them. They took it as me turning my nose up at their food choices. It’s similar to a drink.
