My French teacher retired this year, likely In A World Full Of Princesses Be A Hippie Witch Shirtdue to remote learning. The problem is, she only told everyone that she was retiring 2 weeks before school started, leading to the other French teacher at my school to have to take of the French classes. Needless to say, she’s under a lot of workload and pressure rn. Teachers weren’t paid very well, weren’t respected very much, and were expected to just suck it up because they were supposed to be altruistic about this. Turns out that is a frail system to depend on, at best, and a perturbation like a pandemic can really shatter that system.

I’d rather my colleges retired A World Full Of Princesses Be A Hippie Witch Shirt then die though. I mean, we absolutely need better resources and guidelines, but that reality is impossible given funding. So the options were unprepared virtual lessons or get COVID. So I’m glad we chose to be unprepared and frustrated. I’d also rather my kids miss a whole year of school than get sick and possibly die. A retired teacher can come back to the force after COVID is done, a dead one cannot. I know you all are not making a point against this, I just wanted to be sure it was said
