I really don’t understand why you don’t hold elections under the weekend like we in Sweden do. It’s almost undemocratic the way the US holds it’s elections. Most minorities and young people don’t priorities voting because it’s not possible to get off work… Hahaha the US is a big joke I swear. Voting day MUST be a holiday or else the working class wouldn’t be able to vote.

They should not have to Alabama Crimson Tide Daisy Flower Shirt choose between exercising their fundamental right and being able to feed the family. It honestly should be a holiday, it would allow way more people to go vote. Tons of people just work too long hours and have too much stuff going on at home. That they can’t bother to head across town and wait in line for an hour or 2 to vote. I think it would help somewhat, but I think we all understand that not everyone gets the day off just because something is a federal holiday, so it wouldn’t completely fix the problem. There should be some kind of federal mandate. That your employer has to give you a day off or time off to vote either on election day or during the early voting period.
