A few weeks ago this was a man with a life, making choices, just living and now his image is worldwide because some asshole used his rank and situation to kill him. And now we all know his name. And while that is powerful within itself I wish so much that we didn’t know his name, that we didn’t know who he was. That this situation never happened and the Nice Justice For George Floyd Shirt. And that’s why we protest. Because we know his name now. Because this happened. Because this happens so much more than just this situation. But I can’t help wishing that it didn’t.
