The Premium Stitch Pumpkin Halloween Shirt technique, sure, but I’d still say photorealism is accurate. I imagine thread painting could be used for other painting styles, this just happens to be as realistic as a photo. So both. Photorealistic thread painting. Yeah, this is, similar to much in the art world, absolutely worth it, but that doesn’t mean it’s worth it to me (or any particular person). That’s what drives me nuts when people complain about art prices. Like, damn. Just don’t buy it? I feel like the subject choice helps here. The threads help make the fur look more real. I bet skin or clouds or water might not be as helped by the medium.

Abstract pieces that the “art community” will throw lots of fancy adjectives and meanings into, that to the “uninformed” look lazy and not thought out.
